The project, which was released on Thursday, has its artwork portraying a blood-drenched pant sitting on broken glass.

The tracks, one of which features Deborah Potest, a songstress, are marked for their soulful and melancholic tunes.

Among the titles that make up the project are ‘Ascendency’, ‘Love and Paradoxes’, ‘Messiah Complexes’, ‘The Phoenix’, and ‘Time’, some of which feature echoes and sound components typical of natural elements.

In April 2020, some Nigerian ladies had alleged that Brymo raped them but the singer dismissed the claims as false.

On the theme of one of the songs, Brymo had, while announcing the project’s release date in late October, said: “First single off ‘Libel’ is a song called ‘Messiah Complexes’.

“You get to hear me lay down my weapons, as I am tired of speaking up for lost causes. I just want to make plans with others and build useful and sustainable things from here on.”

Brymo, who started his music career in 1999 as a student, released his first studio album ‘Brymstone’ in 2007.

After signing a deal with Chocolate City in 2010, the contract was breached in 2013 after a heated controversy broke out between the two parties following claims by the singer that the label short-changed him.

Although Brymo later agreed he used the Chocolate City “Scandal” to sell his sound, the singer decided ever since to pursue his career without leaning on record labels.

In March 2018, he released his sixth studio album, ‘Oṣó’. The singer is best known for ‘Ara,’ his 2011 hit single.
