Sanni Goriola, a Nigerian singer better known as Lil Frosh, has finally spoken on the domestic violence allegations with an apology to the public and Gift Camille, his girlfriend.
Mayoks Michael, Camille’s manager and brother, had in a Twitter thread last Monday accused the singer of assaulting his sister.
The outrage that ensued had prompted Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), a record label owned by Davido, to terminate its contract with Lil Frosh.
But on Sunday, the 22-year-old took to his Instagram page to issue a statement where he expressed remorse for his actions and inactions.
“Based on the wide range of incidents between I Sanni Goriola Wasiu (Lil Frosh) and Iyomaterie Okeoghene Taiwo (Thacutegeminnme), I would like to inform my fans and loved ones that we are on top of the situation,” the statement read.
“We urge friends and fans of Lil Frosh to be at ease and not entertain fear or cause further rancor to this situation. We would also like to state that we condemn violence in all forms, be it domestic or otherwise. I sincerely apologize for my actions and inactions, Thank you.”
Camille’s manager and brother had claimed that the assault had been going on for about a year.
“You have done enough damage for almost a year now you have been in a relationship with my sister and client and you have brought her nothing but horror, pain and disaster,” he had said.
