The ‘Roju’ crooner gave his reason in an Instagram post on Thursday.

According to the 29-year-old, using the phrase “I love you” makes him feel “vulnerable”.

Chike also said it makes him feel like his “p****s would shrink and disappear.”

He, however, said he’s happy that he could use the phrase in his songs.

“I have never said ‘I love you’. I guess for me that’s just too vulnerable. I get that feeling that if I say it, my bolz would shrink and disappear. Happy I get to sing it though,” he wrote.

Such songs include: ‘Running To You’ featuring Simi, ‘If You No Love’, ‘Roju’, ‘Teminikan’, ‘Fancy U’, ‘Faithful’ and many others.

The singer’s comment also comes barely a few days after Falz, the Nigerian rapper, said he has never been in love.

The ‘Bop Daddy’ singer also said he has not told any lady “I love you” before.

“I’ve never been in love. I’ve never said it to a woman, in a romantic way, that ‘I’m in love with you’. I’ve never. I’ve never said I love you to a girl,” Falz had said.
