Laycon is a snake… I feel stupid calling him my friend, says Erica

Erica, former BBNaija housemate, says she thinks Laycon, her colleague, is a “snake” who pretends to evoke pity from people.

The 27-year-old reality star spoke on Monday during the ongoing reunion for housemates that participated in last year’s edition of the show.

In 2020, the pair were the most-talked about housemates while the show lasted over the face-off that ensued between them.

Erica was thereafter disqualified from the ‘Lockdown’ house after she received her third and final strike following her clash with the ‘Who is Laycon’ crooner.

The seemingly frosty relationship between the pair has continued to dominate discussions months after the show ended.

Reflecting on their sour relationship, Erica said she regrets calling Laycon her best friend during their stint on the show.

The actress and reality TV star added that she can no longer trust the musician following her experience with him.

“I think he’s just a snake and he’s just going to act to make people pity him as usual. He acts like a saint which is not going to be genuine. So, I don’t think there’s really any relevance,” she said.

“We only knew each other like for two months right in my 27 years of living? I can’t trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

“As I look at him, I still feel very stupid for ever saying that he was my best friend in the house who always got my back and all of that.

“There was a video I saw where he said ‘if I had the chance to talk to Erica, I’ll tell her she is smart…’, are we not on the same group chat, uncle? Why are you pretending?”
