Kit Harington, a star actor in Game of Thrones television series, is reportedly admitted into a luxury rehab centre for stress and alcohol use.

Page Six reports that Harington, who played the ‘Jon Snow’ character, secretly checked into the Connecticut health retreat, Privé-Swiss, a couple of weeks before GoT finale, which was aired on May 19.

Having spent eight years on the HBO’s series, news sources revealed that the end of the show “really hit Kit hard”.

“He realized ‘this is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?” Harington’s friend told Page Six.

“He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol. His wife Rose is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”

The British actor who got wedded in 2018 met Rose Leslie, his wife, on the GoT set. Leslie, a Scottish actress played ‘Ygritte’, a red-haired Wildling in the television show.

Harington is estimated to spend about $120,000 per month at the luxury facility.

“Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” the actor’s representative told the news outlet.
