The multiple award-winning reality series, which focuses on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian–Jenner blended family, has spanned over 20 seasons, making its stars famous.

Kim, who is a prominent personality on the cast, took to her Twitter page to share a statement wherein the family stated their resolve to shelve the KUWTK franchise after its last season, set for 2021.

“To our amazing fans, It’s with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to keeping up with the Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons,” they wrote.

“Without KUWTK, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years.

“This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.”

KUWTK has been criticised since its 2007 premiere, with many frowning at its emphasis on fame; alleging fabrication of some aspects of its storylines, among comments about a lack of intelligence.
