Two teachers and four students of Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in Epe, have been released after five days in captivity.

They were kidnapped last week Wednesday at about 8am from within the school premises.
Following their abduction, the kidnappers demanded N120 million as ransom but would subsequently reduce their asking fee to N3.5m.
Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Ruth, Isaac Adebisi, the pupils and A.O. Oyesola, Vice Principal, Junior School, and Lukman Oyerinde, the English teacher, were released around 10:30pm on Wednesday, The Nation reports.

“I thank God for everything. My son has been released to us. He is in good health. God is wonderful,” Oluwafemi Adebisi, a father of one of the victims was quoted to have said.
