Kenneth Okonkwo, Nollywood actor turned politician, has worn the toga of God’s spokesman to give His verdict on those criticising him for backing President Muhammadu Buhari.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the actor said he has been baptised with curses for supporting the president.
He described critics of his endorsement of Buhari’s second term bid as “satanic”.
“Since these men did not do this, but resorted to curses and vituperations, they have violated the law of nature, man and God,” he said.

“Here is the verdict of God on them according to Psalm 109 and particularly verses 1-3, 6, 17-21, 25-30. For the avoidance of doubt let me reproduce these verses verbatim:
(1) Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
(2) for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

(3) they compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
(6) Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
(17) As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
(18) As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

(19) Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
(20) Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the Lord, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
(21) But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
(25) I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

(26) Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy
(27) That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.
(28) Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
(29) Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

(30) I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.”

That was how festus keyamo started because he had the intention of getting an appointment from this government, now Kenneth Okonkwo, whatever the public may have commented, his their own opinions, and you have the aspirations to contest as a governor, yet you can not absorb, tolerate public utterance. You’re not ripe yet I will say,and if you playing to be relevant good for you.
Mr. Kenneth Okonkwo, you’re are free to hold whatever opinion you want to hold and nobody cares about that, but when you made your self the mouth piece of the Igbos, you drew the ire of the people. Who told you that Muhammadu Buhari is good for the Igbos, who did you confer with to reach such a conclusion? In what assembly was it discussed and Igbos gave you the mandate to decide what’s good and what’s not good for them? You should have gone on to support Buhari and talk of all his virtues but not decide for the Igbos that he loves them. You should not ride on the people’s intelligence.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry knows that there is no love lost between Buhari and the Igbos. The man has inflicted numerous injuries on the Igbos, right from the era of millitary rule to the era of Pythom dance. He stands for everything that we hate as a people. He sits aloof while marauding occupiers masquerading as herds men run amok on a killing spree, destroying lives and properties and taking responsibility for such actions. And you Kenneth Okonkwo has never spoken up in condemnation of such atrocities. Mr righteous Kenneth where were you when so called “herdsmen” invaded communities in Enugu state killing and maiming hapless individuals, where were you when soldiers were let loose on defenceless Igbo youths in the name of operation Python dance. You claim that your Buhari is an honest man, why does he not obey court orders? Why has he not released Dasuki despite a court ruling to that effect? why has he not released Elzakzaky? why did he allow Policemen to desecrate Benue house of assembly? Why Why Why?
My dear Mr Kenneth Okonkwo I want to advise you to vocalize your love for Buhari for whatever reason you may have but never say he is good for Igbos because we did not tell you that. You are free to hold an opinion but not talk on my behalf. Your right as an individual ends where my own right starts. Be guided!!!
Finally since you made recourse to the Holy Bible am constrained to ask if you’re a Christian? If your answer is yes then you should know that our Lord Jesus Christ said you should bless those that curse you and pray for those who mistreat you-Luke 6:28, Matt. 5-44. I will advise you once more to go on this political journey the best way you deem fit but do not buy favours from Mr. President with the Igbos as your sacrificial lamb. We have suffered enough. And know that if not supporting Buhari in 2019 will lead to political extermination of the Igbos, then so be it. It is better to die honorably than to die shamefully. You have tested the pulse of the people and by now you should know better how they feel.
