According to British media, political leaders in the UK and across the world were left out of the guest list of the royal wedding.

Not less than 1,200 members of the public, mostly regular people doing extraordinary things, are expected to grace the occasion.

Harry and Markle, an American actress, also failed to invite Theresa May, British Prime Minister.

“It has been decided that an official list of political leaders – both UK and international – is not required for Prince Harry and Ms. Markle’s wedding,” a Kensington Palace spokesman said on Tuesday.

“Her Majesty’s Government was consulted on this decision, which was taken by The Royal Household.”

The wedding will take place on May 19 at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Prince Harry and Markle announced their engagement in November 2017.

In a joint interview after they were engaged, Harry revealed that he fell in love with the ‘Suits’ actress “incredibly quickly”.

The 33-year-old prince is the fifth in line to the British throne.
