Katie Perry, US singer, has reached the Twitter milestone of 100 million followers.
The ‘Roar’ singer is the first to cross the mark on the platform.
Twitter celebrated her feat with a video-post of highlights of her activities since 2009.
“Today, we #WITNESS history. Congratulations @katyperry, the first to reach 100 million followers! #LoveKaty,” Twitter posted on its official page.
The Twitter milestone could be a much-needed boost for Perry whose fifth studio album has been panned by critics for being below par.
The album, ‘Witness’, was released on June 9.
The singer recently embarked on a weekend-long live streaming session where she talked about several topics ranging from her feud with Taylor Swift, the sexual prowess of her past lovers, and cultural appropriation.
