Kanye West, US rapper, says his tag as the greatest artiste of all time, is no longer debatable.
The 42-year-old musician stated this during an interview with Zane Lowe, presenter for Beats 1, which aired on Thursday.
During the interview, which majorly bordered on a litany of topics including religion, porn, his transformation in April following Coachella and coping with the death of his mother, West declared himself the greatest artiste of all time.
“I’m unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artiste of all time,” he said. “It’s just not even a question anymore.”
This is not the first time the renowned American rapper would brand himself a name. He had previously christened himself a “creative genius” while he once described his music as “perfect”.
West also told Zane Lowe that he will be releasing a Sunday Service album titled ‘Jesus is Born’ at Christmas.
On Friday, the famous musician dropped ‘Jesus is King’, his highly anticipated album, at about the same time he declared he has converted to Christianity.
‘Jesus is King’ comes hours after he said he wont sleep till the project is out.
The 11-song, 27-minute album sees West working once again with frequent collaborators including Pusha T, Ty Dolla Sign and Mike Dean.
‘Ye’ has always introduced spirituality in his music from the onset, but ‘Jesus is King’ would be his first full-on gospel-rap record, largely filled with clean and uplifting praise music.
