Kanayo O Kanayo, the ace Nollywood actor, has taken a hit at parents who do not question the source of their children’s wealth.
Speaking at a recent gathering, the 61-year-old chastised parents who do not ask questions when their children come home with money and expensive gifts despite knowing that they have no jobs.
He also warned them to be careful, adding that such parents who turn blind eyes to “these situations would not live long”.
“Your daughter is 20 years old. She no dey work, she carry phone of N1.5 million and you are jubilating, praise the Lord, my daughter has bought a phone. She now dashes you N100k, N200k and you did not ask questions, you would not live long,” he said.
“That is what is killing a lot of parents. Their son who is not working comes home with some kind of money, some kind of car and you do not ask questions. I am warning you, parents.
“You do not know who your son killed to buy that car, you do not know which devil your daughter collected that money from and you praise God and accept whatever she brings. Parents this is a warning I am giving you, this is why most of us are dying young.”

Born Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, Kanayo is known for his controversial commentaries about the entertainment industry.
In April 2022, the actor claimed some desperate Instagram celebrities were destroying Nollywood’s image.
Ironically, Kanayo, in January 2022, urged people not to believe sex-for-role rumours in Nollywood.
