The dancer, in an interview with NAN, said she is setting up a mentorship programme to mark her silver jubilee as a dancer.

Kaffy said the programme will be named “Kaffyverse” and will be her “mini university” for young people looking to become dancers.

She said her silver jubilee celebration will feature a five-day programme focused on teaching traditional dances and how to monetise dancing.

She said the five-day programme is titled ‘Kaffy Kcreative Expo’, to be held from August 6 to 10, 2025.

“There are lots of programmes planned to expose Nigerians to the exploration and exportation of the economic value that the creative industry has,” she said.

“I will be educating people about wellness and healthy living because I am a fitness coach ambassador. Already, I have moved around different communities. I will be doing more in commemoration of my 25th anniversary.

“So, for each day at the expo, we are focusing on each aspect, a day for children, another day for conference where we will be talking about the health impact of dance.”

Kaffy said the five-day event would feature a concert where there would be fashion displays and an art exhibition.

“We will be focusing on the African culture in general. It is the exploration and exportation of the economic value that is inherent in the creative industry,” she said.

“We are trying to get industries to be aware of the potential in the dance industry.

“We want bankers to know that a dancer can approach them for a loan because dancers have different services they can offer to people in various industries. We have to start telling African stories and help our children find where they can find their source.”
