Fresh information has surfaced about the death of Egbeoluwa Ademilade, a Nigerian rapper better known as Juggernaut.
The rapper died in a car accident on September 30 and was buried on Tuesday, October 2.
In a statement on Thursday, Black Haus Entertainment, Juggarnaut’s record label, shed light on the circumstances surrounding his death.
The record label founded by Seun Kuti said the rapper’s vehicle crashed into a trailer with no tail lights in the wee hours of September 30.
The trailer was said to be “emitting smoke from its exhaust,” thereby impairing the vision of the deceased.
The statement read in part: “He died in the early hours of Sunday 30th September 2018 after his car crashed into a trailer with no backlights, emitting smoke from its exhaust thus reducing visibility.
“Until his death, he was a brother, friend and father.”
Seun Kuti took to Instagram to pay tribute to Juggernaut and shared videos of a candlelight procession held in honour of the late rapper.
He wrote: “We can no longer afford to be scared to die when death isn’t scared of us. The only absolute truth the universe offers is that we live to exist no more
“We all miss u BIG JUGGAH! We shall do our best still to make sure the world sees you! We pray the ancestors give solace to your wife and daughter and your inconsolable parents.
“Juggernaut d amazing is forever with us and swipe left to see what he meant to the hood. The whole neighborhood came out to show respects to you men, and that’s all the validation we need!! Love u men. Till we meet again.”
