The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has joined forces with Sky Girls, a Nigerian community that empowers teen girls, to unveil their new TV series, ‘Journey to Bloom’.

The multi-episode series delves into the complexities of adolescence, following the lives of diverse teen characters as they navigate challenges and opportunities.

Premiered on August 8 at Ikeja City Mall, Journey to Bloom’ offers a candid look at the teenage experience through the eyes of characters like Tife, whose storyline explores financial inclusion, and Naima and Ajibola, who grapple with sexual and reproductive health issues.

Adenike Odutola, the country director of Sky Girls Nigeria, explained that the series is designed to entertain and educate young people.

“We hope to inspire a generation of confident and informed individuals who can navigate the complexities of growing up with resilience and grace,” she said.

The series boasts a young and talented cast, including Ayomide Boluwatife, Judith Ushi, Isoken Aruede, Wonuola Lanre Akinremi, Nadia Dutch, and Samson Imanah.
