Grammy award winners, Joss Stone and Najee, will headline the 2017 edition of Runway Jazz.
Stone is a British singer-songwriter while Najee is an American saxophonist.
Nigerian entertainers billed to perform at the concert include Waje, Yinka Davies, Dede Mabiaku, Heavy Wind, Tosin Alao, among others.
This year, one of the side activities of Runway Jazz is a music and business masterclass in partnership with Berklee College of Music, Boston, US.
The main event is being held in partnership with the Lagos government as the state celebrates its 50th year anniversary.
According to the organisers, guests can also expect “a runway show that captures the evolution of Lagos over the last 5 decades” as Jewel by Lisa showcases haute couture pieces from her collection.
“Runway Jazz is a unique event that harmonises the classy worlds of jazz music and fashion, designed to showcase our proudly Nigerian (and African) culture in celebration of the International Jazz Day.
“Runway Jazz was birthed to engage music and art enthusiasts and jazz aficionados, giving stylish expression to art and culture through music and fashion.”
The 2017 event will hold over two days – April 29 and 30 – at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre.
The theme of the 2017 Runway Jazz is ‘Promoting Peace, Unity and Dialogue Through Art’.
