Anthony Joshua on Saturday defeated Carlos Takam by a technical knockout in round 10 of the world heavyweight title fight held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Takam complained about what he believed to be an early stoppage and reacted to his defeat by requesting a rematch.

Boss Mustapha was appointed secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday.

Mustapha, who is the former managing director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, was appointed after the suspension and eventual termination of former SGF Babachir Lawal.

Kevin Spacey

Hollywood actor, screenwriter and director Kevin Spacey has admitted to being gay following a sexual harassment allegation levelled against him by Star Trek actor, Anthony Rapp. The incident is said to have occurred in 1986 when Rapp was 14.

Despite Kevin’s apology to Rapp, Netflix, producers of House of Cards, on Tuesday announced the imminent end of the series. The actor has also been dropped as the recipient of the International Emmy Founders Award.

American hip-hop artist Cardi B is now engaged to rapper Offset.

Offset proposed to Cardi B with an eight-carat diamond ring during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia on Friday.

New album by Falz

Nigerian comedian and rapper, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz, has released a new album entitled ‘27’.

Falz put out the album on October 27, which also happens to be his birthday. ’27’ features popular artists such as Olamide, Davido, Burna Boy, YCee and Wande Coal.
