Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father, has lamented the singer’s land purchase for his son Liam.

In a TikTok live session, Aloba revealed that Mohbad had informed him about buying two plots of land in Elepe for Liam.

However, he questioned the singer’s decision, stating that he had never bought any property in Mohbad’s name.

“He has two acres of land in Agbowa. He has one plot in Elepe through Wunmi’s mother. When he came back from tour, he (Mohbad) said he bought another two plots at Elepe,” Aloba said.

“He (Mohbad) said they used Liam’s name on that land which I do not know the reason. I am the father to Mohbad. I have never bought anything in Mohbad’s name in my life. But they bought the two plots in Liam’s name.

“It is only Wunmi’s mum that knows where they sell land. She is a police officer while I am only a carpenter. It was Wunmi’s mum who bought the lands for him.”

Aloba registered his concerns at about the same time when a magistrate court in Yaba dismissed charges against Mohbad’s ex-record label boss Naira Marley, Sammy Larry and Prime Boy over their alleged involvement in the singer’s death in September 2023.

However, the Lagos DPP announced that it would prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of Mohbad’s friends, for reckless and negligent acts contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
