Jerry Eze, the founder of Streams of Joy International, has recounted how he questioned whether he had truly heard from God after leaving his corporate career.
During a recent interview on WithChude Live event, the 42-year-old internet personality revealed that a month after leaving his corporate job, he thought “I had made the biggest mistake of my life”.
Eze, the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), was a communications specialist with the World Bank project for HIV/AIDS and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
“I remembered one month after I had resigned. I thought I made the biggest mistake of my life. You read Bible. You pray. I felt like can God really make me jobless because I love to do something,” he said.
Eze said he realised that the period of uncertainty was actually a divine setup; a time of preparation for the impactful ministry the world sees today.
The cleric explained that he chose to share his story openly to encourage people who may be facing similar struggles in their own journeys.
“But I knew that that was the time of being set apart for preparation for the what the world is witnessing right now,” he said.
“If you have been tempted, someone wants to know how tempted were you. If you ever tried to give up, someone wants to know how did you try to give up. We are just part of the big picture that God is creating.”
