Jennifer Eliogu, Nollywood actress, was one of the guest singers at the 2016 Miss Nigeria pageant.
The pageant, which held on Monday at Eko Hotels, was graced by different celebrities.
Eliogu, who began her acting career in 1996, announced that she would be delving into the Nigerian music scene three years ago.
At the pageant, she first performed a jazz number before singing her latest single, Doh Shirt.
The actress, whose first movie role was in ‘House on Fire’, released Doh Shirt in February 2016, making it her third single in three years.
Eliogu, has been off the acting scene for some time especially after she got married and moved to Switzerland.
The Miss Nigeria performance was Eliogu’s first outing on a major stage.
The actress, who prefers to be identified as JE on stage, has also said that there is no truth in news that she moved back to Nigeria because her marriage crashed.
“My husband is based in Switzerland, and after some years there, we reached the painful but practical decision that I should move back to Nigeria to continue my career in acting.
“I do not have problems with an inter-continental marriage, but in my own case, I did not want to be a full-time housewife.
“My husband is very comfortable with my decision, and it has not affected our marriage in any way. It is not true (that my marriage has broken). We are still married, but we have challenges and we are working around those challenges,” the actress had said in an old interview.
