The premiere of the sixth season of MTV’s drama series, Shuga Naija, did not hold back on making it an evening to remember.
As the cast converged on the red carpet, TheCable Lifestyle caught up with one of the stars, Jemima Osunde, to get an inside scoop on happenings behind the scenes that have led up to the premiere.
“Working with the cast and crew was amazing”, she said.
The actress said she had favourites among her cast members, saying their relationships extended beyond the lights and cameras.
“My favourite cast members would have to be… I’m a bit biased to Timini and Bolanle because those are my friends off the set; and also Tomiwa. Those are my Gs. We go way back.”
Osunde gave praise to the entire cast and crew for making her job easy and enjoyable, even on days when she was not motivated.
“The entire cast and crew were amazing to work with. Everyone came with positive vibes. There’s nothing better than working with people who motivate you,” she said.
“Even if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you get to set and everyone is cracking jokes so you just can’t be in a bad mood with these people around you.”
On what fans can look forward to on the new season of MTV Shuga, Jemima says to expect “relatable storylines”.
Jemima also told TheCable Lifestyle about her role as the lead actor in a soon-to-be-released flick.
She said: “I have a movie coming out in cinemas. I was lucky enough to play the lead. It’s called ‘New Money’.
“It’s a Film One movie and it should be out in cinemas from the 23rd of March.”
