Kamal Adebayo, the Nollywood actor and father of Isbae U, the skit maker, has passed away.

MC Oluomo, chairman of the Lagos state parks management committee, announced Adebayo’s death in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

Oluomo did not revealed what led to the death of the actor, better known as Sir Kay.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay,” he wrote.

His post has continued to elicit reactions with many film stars taking to the comment section of the post to mourn him.

Yomi Fabiyi, the actor, also took to his Instagram page to pay Adebayo his last respect.

“O di gba kan naa, Sir K Warrior. Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man. I am weak,” he wrote in a terse post.

As of the time of this report, Isbae U is yet to comment on his father’s death.

Sir Kay’s death comes a few months after he celebrated his birthday.

In August, the film star marked his birthday in grand style with Isbae U gifting him one million naira on the occasion.

His death further the stretches list of celebrities who have passed away in 2022.
