Is Kayvee having mental breakdown? BBNaija housemates express concerns

From enjoying a warm kiss with Angel on his first night to behaving strangely and erratic, Kayvee, one of the season six BBNaija housemates, seems to be feeling out of place in Biggie’s house.

During a chat with other housemates on Sunday, Whitemoney had complained about Kayvee’s strange behaviour, who according to him, has been impulsive and avoiding the company of others.

“He went to the washing machine that was in use by someone else and turned it off. He went to the tap, opened it, and washed his face, he looked at us, hissed and left. Is this a prank? This is not funny,” Whitemoney said to his colleagues.

“It’s not funny anymore. For real, it’s no more funny. He’s really getting weird. I don’t know if he’s playing a prank or has lost his senses.”

In the same vein, JMK, a female housemate who came into Biggie’s house the same day with Kayvee, also expressed her worries over his “instability”, adding that he is “acting strange”.

She also called on Biggie, the instructive voice behind the show, to check his mental health.

JMK further narrated the experience she had a night before with him, adding that he had jumped up from his bed and shouted hysterically before he left the room for the garden.

“I thought he was fine this afternoon and I said no problem. This evening again, he was sleeping close to my bed. I thought he was sleeping but he just jumped up and shouted,” she told her colleagues.

“I went out and came back but he was not on the bed again. I saw him in the courtyard again. I was trying to talk to him but he’s not answering anybody.”

Cross also corroborated his colleague’s concerns saying, “I don’t know what he’s going through but he’s going through a lot.”

Kayvee’s strange behaviour has also attracted the attention of some fans of the reality show.

According to a Twitter user, in a thread, Kayvee is going through a mental condition called “agoraphobia”.

Agoraphobia is a mental and behavioural disorder that is characterized by symptoms of anxiety in situations where the person perceives their environment to be unsafe with no easy way to escape. 

Worthy of note is that after he kissed Angel the night he arrived at the ‘Shine Ya Eyes’ house, Sammie was the first person to have engaged in an altercation with him over his perceived romantic connection with the 21-year-old female housemate.

Shortly before Kayvee and Sammie’s war of words on Sunday, Angel had at one point “derogatorily” corrected Kayvee’s grammar, while Maria refused to dance with him on Friday during the pool party.

During his second day in the house, Kayvee had disclosed his kind of person in a chat with Michael.

“I am not egotistical at all, what I do is that I let my ego go when interacting with people for the sake of my peace. That is who I am,” he had told Michael.
