ThankGod ‘TG’ Omori Jesam, the Nigerian music video director, says he is recovering after a failed kidney transplant.
The cinematographer recently revealed that he had a kidney transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos on August 26. The 29-year-old said his only brother donated his kidney for the transplant.
Omori, who has been battling kidney issues for one year, said he went into the theatre three times for the transplant which was not successful.
The music video director also called for prayers from Nigerians.
Sharing an update in a post via X on Friday, Omori stated that he is determined to overcome his health challenges. He also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from Nigerians.
“Up and grateful, O Lord. (Sadly, I can’t backflip.) Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes,” he wrote.
“I am healing now from the stitches of the failed one, but I will continue the fight. I have been battling this for the past year or two, and I am not backing down now.
“Love y’all so much. I can not wait to make new, crowded music videos for y’all.”
Up and grateful o lord.
