Nuella Njubigbo has spoken for the first time since Tchidi Chikere, her ex-husband, announced he has taken a new wife
On Monday, Chikere opened up on his new marriage. The filmmaker disclosed that he has been married for months now.
The 47-year-old actor also showed off a photo of his wife’s engagement ring.
“Married! We did it here some months ago,” he wrote.
“Just so my friends and fans know that I’m okay and happy. God is on the throne.”
Shortly after Chikere unveiled his new wife, Njubigbo took to her Instagram page to reveal that she will be telling her own story soon.
“Silence isn’t always empty…Telling my story on my YouTube channel. Coming soon,” she wrote on Tuesday.

Chikere and Nuella tied the knot in 2014. The pair welcomed a daughter together.
In 2021, they were rumoured to have divorced after they unfollowed each other on social media.
The divorce rumours heightened when Nuella removed the filmmaker’s name from her Instagram bio.
Last year, Chikere spoke about his failed marriage with Njubigbo while hailing Yul Edochie, his colleague who had come under criticism for marrying a second wife.
He claimed Njubigbo packed up and left their matrimonial home.
Chikere also has three other children from his previous marriage to another actress Sophia Williams.
