Solána ‘SZA’ Rowe, the US singer and songwriter, says she will never get involved in a romantic relationship again.
In a post via her X page on Thursday, the 34-year-old Grammy-winning singer described romance as a “disease” that she would no longer engage in.
“I never wanna be romantically interested in a human being ever again in my entire life,” she wrote.
“That shit is a disease. I am dating my own ethereal spirit, I can’t date the human part of me. I have vowed against that.”
The ‘Kill Bill’ hitmaker has remained relatively private about her love life.
SZA was born St. Louis to a Christian mother and a Muslim father. She was raised as a Muslim and continues to follow Islam.
SZA first gained prominence after releasing her self-produced extended plays (EP) ‘See.SZA.Run’ (2012) and ‘S’ (2013).
She became the first female artiste to sign with Top Dawg Entertainment and released her third EP ‘Z’ in 2014.
In 2017, SZA released her debut studio album (Ctrl) after signing a contract with RCA Records. She released ‘SOS’, her second album, in 2022.
SZA’s accolades include four Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, an American Music Award, a Guild of Music Supervisors Award, and two Billboard Women in Music awards.
She has written songs for Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Travis Scott, ScHoolboy Q and Rihanna.
