The Nigerian man called Prince Udugbawa has detailed how God delivered him from drugs through Tony Rapu, the senior pastor of the House of Freedom.
Udugbawa narrated his recovery journey in a video shared by Rapu on Saturday.
In the clip, the man, who is now married and a pastor, said he started taking drugs when he was young.
He added that by 2014, he had “reached the end of myself”.
“I’m Prince Udugbawa, I’m still standing. I’m sure of my future. It’s bright. I started smoking drugs when I was young and in 2014, I had reached the end of myself,” he said in the video.
“I can take up to twenty of this drug daily, one is sold for N200. So calculate. I lie to people to get money to buy this thing (drug). Pastor Tony come quickly for me because I’m tired, I’m tired. I want to get out of this bondage and work”.

He said things started changing positively for him in 2018 when Rapu sent his team to pick him up at the Ipodo axis of Lagos state.
Udugbawa said Rapu helped him during his rehabilitation through Freedom Foundation. He added that the foundation also employed him a year later to mentor young people.
“One year later, I was employed by the freedom foundation, the same people who had arranged my rehabilitation. Part of my job now is to talk to the young ones about how to live life. I thank God for all he has been doing for me,” he said.
The elated man tied the knot with his fiancee in December 2022.
In a post accompanying the video, Rapu celebrated the new couple.
The medical doctor and filmmaker also appreciated the people who made his recovery journey possible.
“Congratulations! Wishing Mr and Mrs Prince a happy married life. Shout out to my amazing partners and faithful pastors in ministry who have been working tirelessly and silently behind the scenes; Pastor Steve Nduka, Pastor Solomon Akpo, Pastor Modest Anyadike, Pastor Kingsley Lebo and Dr. Emmanuel Ohaka,” he wrote.
“May God continue to uphold you and extend grace to you for the unusual work He has called us to do.”
