In an ambitious move to showcase Nigeria’s growing influence in the global real estate sector, Gtext Holdings has announced its attempt to set a new world record for the largest real estate conference ever held in a tent.
Gtext Holdings, the parent company of Gtext Homes and Gtext Land, broke the news during a joint press conference held l in Lagos on Friday.
The landmark event is scheduled for December 20, 2025, and is projected to attract over 10,000 in-person participants, with an additional 100,000 attendees joining virtually from around the world.
Stephen Akintayo, the chairman of SACI Holdings and founder of Gtext Holdings, stated that the endeavour is a key part of the company’s vision to position Nigeria at the forefront of international real estate dialogue.
Coinciding with Gtext’s 10th anniversary, the conference will celebrate a decade of innovation and strategic growth while serving as a platform to promote sustainable development, networking, and investment opportunities.
Although no current record exists for the largest real estate conference in a tent, the attempt follows the record for the largest real estate lesson, set by AYS Developers with 912 participants in Dubai on May 31.
Aside from the GWR attempt, the company also announced the acquisition of a firm with a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) license.

The deal is expected to allow Gtext to broaden its offerings beyond real estate into regulated financial products, creating new opportunities for local and international investors.
Gtext Holdings also launched a new subsidiary and recognised long-serving employees.
Akintayo also spoke about the company’s expansion and his role as chairman of SACI Holdings, a private equity firm.
“While I’m still a major shareholder in Gtext Holdings, my new role is Chairman of SACI Holdings, a private equity firm that oversees and invests in a diverse portfolio of companies,” he said.
“Our private equity structure allows us to identify, acquire, and grow high-potential businesses across various sectors, creating significant value for our investors and stakeholders.
“Gtext Holdings’ recent developments are a direct reflection of SACI Holdings’ strategic investment and guidance, and we look forward to announcing further acquisitions and growth initiatives in the future.”
Last year, Akintayo shared his 16-year story as a businessman growing “from one estate to over 30 cut across 7 states in Nigeria and also in the USA. From 1 employee to over 300 in 4 continents, namely Africa, Uk, Dubai for Middle East, USA for The Americas”.
