Goya Menor, the Nigerian singer, has announced a remix for his monster hit ‘Ameno Amapiano’, featuring David Guetta, the French singer.

The 28-year-old singer spoke about the collaboration during a chat with reporters on Sunday in Lagos.

Goya Menor said the music “has been made already” and will be included in a soon-to-be-released extended play (EP) alongside the ‘Wazobia’ remix of the song featuring Zlatan, Magnito, and Zoro.

He also announced a new distribution deal with Sony Music Germany and the commencement of his tour in the United Kingdom and Europe.

“The remix with David Guetta has been made already. I’m more of an international artiste than a local one. I’ve been reached out to more by international acts from France, US, and UK.. I’ve to take my time and discuss with my team. The sound with David Guetta is done. It’s not just a Goya Menor thing anymore but a global phenomenon,” Goya Menor said.

“You already know the original and what it sounds like. The remix is definitely weak from the original definitely, which promises to be better and bigger than what it used to be. The EP is still in process, and we are taking our time, and it will be dropped strategically.”

Goya Menor dropped ‘Ameno Amapiano’ featuring US-based DJ Nektunez in June 2021, but the song, heavy with an anti-confraternity message, was obscure until November the same year when it blew up on TikTok.

By December 2021, it had garnered over 4.7 million video creations and over 9.5 billion views on the platform alone.

The song also peaked at number one on Billboard’s world digital song sales chart while also reaching number one position on Apple’s top 100 songs.
