George Clooney has been ranked the highest-paid actor in the world between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018.

Forbes magazine released its ranking of the world’s top ten highest-paid actors on Wednesday.

Clooney’s acting career only accounted for a fraction of his $239 million income; the most coming from his tequila business.

In 2013, Clooney co-founded Casamigos Tequila with Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman, initially as a way to supply high-quality liquor.

In 2017, Diageo, a British multinational company purchased the liquor brand in a deal worth $1 billion.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, a frequent on the list came in second at $124 million. The 46-year-old actor made a sizeable income from 2018 blockbusters like Rampage, Skyscraper and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Robert Downey Jnr. came in third with $81 million having appeared in Spiderman: The Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War.

Chris Hemsworth was ranked fourth at $64.5 million and Jackie Chan fifth with $45.5 million.

Will Smith was sixth at $42 million.

Two Bollywood actors, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, made it to the top ten.

Akshay Kumar was ranked seventh with $40.5 million and Salman Khan, ninth with $38.5 million.

A Netflix deal and live comedy deals brought Adams Sandler to the eighth spot with $39.5 million.

Captain America star, Chris Evans, secured the bottom of the top ten with $34 million.

The total income of the top ten highest-paid actors was $748.5 million before taxes compared to the cumulative $186 million earned by the top ten highest-paid actresses for the same period.
