Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress, says she will be developing the superhero franchise ‘Wonder Woman 3’.
In a chat with ComicBook.com, the 38-year-old film star said she will be collaborating with DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran on the project.
“I love portraying Wonder Woman,” she said when asked about the third movie.
“It is so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we are gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.”
More details for the latest movie are yet to be revealed.
In December, there were reports a third installment in the superhero franchise’s script by director Patty Jenkins was rejected.
Speaking on the matter, Jenkins in a Twitter post, wrote: “I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now”.
Gadot starred as Diana Prince in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ (2016) before leading her own two standalone films: ‘Wonder Woman’ (2017) and ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ in 2020.
The ‘Wonder Woman’ star also appeared in ‘Justice League’. She had cameos in DC film ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods.’
