Gabriel Afolayan has received an honorary doctorate degree from Estam University in the Republic of Benin.
In a post via Instagram, the actor shared a video of himself adorned in a graduation gown and cap.
In an accompanying caption, he revealed that he was awarded an honorary PhD in arts and culture.
He also expressed his gratitude to the university for the honour.
“Dr Gabriel Olasubomi Afolayan (PhD honoris causa of Philosophy in Arts & Culture) thank you @university_estam,” he wrote.
“We will keep shaping the world positively with our Art. Banner up everywhere we go. Great time with the great people of @university_estam.”
With a career spanning over a decade, Gabriel has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in Nollywood.
He made his acting debut in 2012 with the film called ‘Hoodrush’.
He has since starred in a number of films, including ‘Coming from Insanity’, ‘U-Turn’, and ‘Blood Sisters’.
Beyond his acting prowess, Gabriel is also a singer.
He has released several singles, including ‘Awelewa’, ‘Kokoro Ife’, ‘Amoke’, and ‘Alantere’.
The actor has also received several awards and recognitions for his craft.
