The Future Africa Awards (TFAA) crowned its 2025 winners in a ceremony at Lagos’s Landmark Event Centre, with content creator Taaooma and footballer Rasheedat Ajibade among the honorees.
Themed ‘Threads of Legacy,’ the 19th edition celebrated the boldest and brightest minds shaping Africa’s future across sectors like governance, arts, sports, and entrepreneurship.
The night, hosted by Nollywood actor Mike Afolarin and media personality Azeezah Hashim, was a star-studded affair that blended glamour with profound impact.
It served as a platform to spotlight the stories of young individuals driving positive change and redefining the African narrative.
Among the winners were content creator Mariam ‘Taaooma’ Apaokagi who took home the prize for ‘Content Creation,’ and Super Falcons star Ajibade, who was honoured for her contributions to Sports.
The event also recognised veteran comedian Ali Baba with an honorary award for his service to the people.
The pinnacle of the evening saw Fola David named the ‘Young Person of the Year.’
