Francis Duru loses dad — months after mum’s death

Francis Duru, the ace Nollywood actor, has taken to social media to mourn the death of his father.

The 52-year-old film star broke the news via his Instagram page. He also accompanied the post with a picture he took with the deceased.

Duru disclosed that his dad passed away on Wednesday morning but did not reveal the cause of death.

The actor also described his father’s death as “painful and heartbreaking” while recalling that his mother “just left”.

“My last pix with you..dad..memories of yesterday..0 defined my essence…built my being…took the tough and the rough to put me on the turf…of life..I salute you dad…as you took your last bow and transited to glory…you broke my heart this morning when you refused to wake..mum just left..you too ..hmm…so heavy…so painful…thank you..thank you…thank you dad for all..thank you..Will miss you…,” he wrote.

The demise of Duru’s father comes about 10 months after he lost his mother.

In November 2020, the actor had announced the death of his mum while the burial was held at his hometown in Mbano, Imo.
