A video wherein Rosy Meurer denied allegations that she slept with Olakunle Churchill, ex-husband of Tonto Dikeh, Nigerian actress, in 2017 has resurfaced online and gone viral.
The old video started to trend on social media shortly after Churchill introduced Meurer as his wife in a post to mark her birthday on Monday.
About four years ago, rumours had swirled that Meurer, who is also an actress, was having an affair with Churchill, who was married to Dikeh at the time — before the pair eventually divorced.
But Meurer, then an ambassador for Big Church Foundation, owned by Churchill, had vehemently dismissed the allegations, describing them as “irritating.”
In an interview with HipTV, the actress had ruled out the possibility of her having an affair with Churchill, whom she referred to as a “brother and mentor”.
“It’s irritating to the ears. It’s just like saying ‘are you sleeping with your brother’? First of all, the person in question is the CEO of Big Church Foundation, Olakunle Churchill. This is somebody that I’ve known for years,” she had said.

“As a member of his foundation, he’s a family to me. His wife is also a family to me. We’ve hung out together before and l don’t see a big deal there. People should stop saying what they don’t know. He’s like a brother to my mother and uncle to me and my siblings apart from being an ambassador for his Foundation.
“This is my mentor whom l look up to. He has a very good heart, there’s no one who would not want to be identified with him. So, l really have nothing to say about this because it’s irrelevant to me.
“They (Churchill and Dikeh) are in peace. They’re happy. I don’t know what people are saying. You guys should get your facts straight before making claims.”
She had also enjoined those peddling such claims to desist from attempting to destroy Churchill’s “happy family.”
“Waking up to this news is really funny to me because this is someone. They’re all false.. does anyone have proof? Everyone should just mind their business and leave a happy family also,” she had warned.
But in a post on Monday, Meurer can be seen flaunting a “wedding ring” supposedly given to her by Churchill.
