The Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show may have been a subject of controversies since its debut in 2006.
But beyond the dusts, the reality show has brought huge fortunes to participants over the years including political appointments.
TheCable Lifestyle examines former housemates who have bagged political appointments from governors of their respective states following their stints at the reality TV show.
1. Laycon
Laycon’s rise to prominence since he won the 2020 edition of the reality TV show has been unprecedented.
Days after snagging the show’s N85 million grand prize, he was appointed as Ogun state youth ambassador by Dapo Abiodun, the governor.
The governor had also gifted a three-bedroom apartment and sum of N5 million to the singer, whose real name is Olamilekan Agbeleshe.
2. Nengi
Nengi, another 2020 BBNaija housemate, has also continued to pull the strings since the end of the show.
To top it all off, I was honoured by the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, and was unveiled as the new Face of Bayelsa. I was also appointed as the Senior Special Adviser on the Girl Child in his executive cabinet. I am so touched.

This had come at about the same time when she was appointed as an ambassador for the girl child by the governor.

Trikytee might not be one of the most-talked-about housemates during the fifth edition of the reality TV show but he has continued to take the world by storm.

His portfolio is, however, yet to be revealed.
