The ministry of education has called on Nigerians to participate in the nomination interview for the 2018/2019 Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) scholarship award.
In a statement detailing the information, Adamu Adamu, minister of education, said the scholarship programme is for both undergraduate and post-graduate studies.
“The honourable minister hereby invites interested and qualified Nigerians to participate in the 2018/2019 Nomination Interview for Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Scholarship Award,” the statement read.
The fields of study include engineering, geology, agriculture, sciences, mathematics, sports, law, social sciences, biotechnology, architecture, medicine, among others.
According to the statement, selected candidates can carry out undergraduate studies in Russia, Morocco, Algeria, Serbia, Hungary, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Cuba, Romania, Ukraine, Japan, and Macedonia.
Postgraduate studies, meanwhile, can be carried out in China, Hungary, Serbia, Turkey, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Russia (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia).
The application deadline for the 2018/2019 BEA interview is February 15 while the interview is scheduled to take place from February 19 to 23.
Qualified candidates will be selected and nominated by the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB).
