Corps member ‘dies of asthma attack’ in Bayelsa camp

A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reportedly died of an asthma attack in the Bayelsa orientation camp.

According to PUNCH, the corps member, identified as Jumoke, reportedly died on Friday at the NYSC orientation camp in Kaiama, Kolokuma-Opokuma local government area of the state.

Jumoke was a member of platoon 8 at Kaiama grammar school in Kaiama.

B.O. Loto, the state camp director, was said to have relayed the unfortunate news to other corps members at the camp.

Loto reportedly pleaded with corps members to be forthcoming and open concerning their ill health, noting that only those who are alive could serve the nation.
