Folarin Falana, the Nigerian rapper and actor better known as Falz, says he has never been in love.
The musician was reflecting on his love life and career in a recent episode of ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast show.
During the show, the 31-year-old also said he has not told any lady “I love you” before.
“I’ve never been in love. I’ve never said it to a woman, in a romantic way, that ‘I’m in love with you’. I’ve never. I’ve never said I love you to a girl,” he said.
When asked how he gets the inspiration for his love songs, he replied: “As an artiste, you need to have a canvas. When you have a canvas, you have different colors of paints and you just splash it.”
The rapper’s comment comes as a shock to many of his fans due to the fact that he is known to have released several love-themed songs.
Such songs include ‘Jeje’, ‘Marry Me’, ‘Toyin Tomato’, ‘Chemistry’, ‘Soldier’, and ‘Foreign’ featuring Simi.
Falz started his music career while in secondary school after forming a group called ‘The School Boys’ with his friend.
He began his professional career as a music artiste in 2009 and has established himself as a household name in Nigerian entertainment landscape since then.
