Jide Kosoko, the ace Nollywood actor, has welcomed a granddaughter.
The veteran film star, who is popular in the Yoruba movie industry, took to his Instagram page on Tuesday to announce the baby’s arrival.
Kosoko expressed his gratitude to God for adding to the family, while also congratulating Bidemi Kosoko, the mother of the child, who is also a Nollywood actress, and her husband.
“A big congratulations to the Kosoko and Bankole Family, as Abidek gave birth to baby girl this morning, an addition to my grand children,” he wrote.
“Join me in thanking God and prayer for the mother never to witness after birth sickness. Thank you my people.”
Sola Kosoko, the sister to Bidemi, who is also a Nollywood actress, also took to Instagram to express her joy over the birth of her niece.
The actress congratulated the family while revealing that both the child and the mother are “hale and hearty”.
“A big congratulations to Kosoko and Bankole’s family on our new bundle of joy as my sister @bidemi_kosoko gave birth to a bouncing baby girl,” she wrote.
“Mother and daughter are well and sound. Children are a gift from the Lord, a fruit of the womb a reward.”
Bidemi and her husband tied the knot in 2021.
