Falz, the Nigerian rapper, has put out his highly anticipated single titled ‘Operation Sweep’.
The rapper announced the release of the project via social media on Wednesday.
The song was produced by Oluwasesan Salami and Daniel Williams while the mixing was handled by Milla Mix.
“Operation sweep (sweep) /T’o ba l’ omo ko wole lo keep (wole lo keep)/ Awon boys fe sere wo street (wo street)/Awon girls ti sare lo n trip (lo n trip),” he sings in a mix of Yoruba and pidgin English.
“We don’t sleep oh operation sweep/ We don come back story don flip/ We don fresh up body don clean/ Mind don wake up and eye don see/ Operation sweep.”
Falz also put out ‘Ndi Ike‘ — a music collaboration involving Flavour and Odumodublvck.
‘Operation Sweep’ is the rapper’s latest release following his knee surgery in the United Kingdom in May.
Falz began his career in 2009. He has since then established himself as not just an artiste but also an activist.
He released his debut album ‘Wazap Guy’ in 2014. He has put out a plethora of socially conscious songs.
He currently owns an independent record label called Bahd Guys Records.
