Eniola Badmus says “it wasn’t easy” to shoot for 16 straight days in the slums of Lagos.
The Nollywood actress on Saturday premiered her first production, ‘Ghetto Bred’, a movie which features a hilarious cast.
Ushbebe, Helen Paul, Nedu, Broda Shaggi, and Yaw are some of the top comic-actors who starred in ‘Ghetto Bred’.
Speaking with TheCable Lifestyle at the premiere of the movie, Badmus said: “Words can’t describe how I feel. I’ve never been shown this much love. I am more than excited we were able to pull this through.”
On the hurdles faced during production, she said: “There were a lot of challenges I must say, when we were shooting Ghetto Bred it was actually raining and that is when it becomes a problem because we’d have to wait until the rain was over before we continued.
“Asides that, where we shot ‘Ghetto Bred’ is, ‘I don’t know what to call it’, like the slums of Lagos and it wasn’t easy. We shot for about sixteen days.
“I was exhausted, as the executive producer also playing a lead role – it was really tiring. But a big shout out to the cast and crew.”
When asked to give a ballpark figure of what she coughed up to make the movie, the ‘Gbogbo Bigs Girls’ actress was evasive.
“Trust me, it isn’t what I’ll want to talk about but trust me when I say I spent a whole lot of money and glory be to God,” she said.
“It’s in millions, but sorry I still insist on keeping this to myself.”
‘Ghetto Bred’, which is Badmus’ first production, was also premiered in London, UK.
