Eniola Ajao, the Nigerian actress, has revealed why she kept Ayomide Daniel, her 21-year-old son, off social media.
In an interview with Seun Oloketuyi TV, Ajao said it was a decision she made a long time ago before venturing into the entertainment industry.
She said she became a parent at a young age and felt it might affect her chances of finding a partner if Ayomide is out on social media.
“It was something I decided a long time ago, before I even considered pursuing a career in the entertainment industry,” Ajao said.
“When I had him, I worried that no man would want to marry me with a child, so I made the decision to keep it private. I kept many aspects of my life out of the public eye, including my son.”
The movie star added that she eventually revealed her son’s existence to the public after being perceived as a “young girl” by her colleagues who were unaware of her motherhood.
She said it was important to set the record straight and be authentic about her life.
Ajao began acting in 2004 with the Yoruba film ‘Igba Aimo’.
In May 2023, the movie star celebrated her son’s 21st birthday on Instagram.
She expressed her love for Ayomide and described him as “one of her greatest blessings”.
“You are one of the greatest blessings I’ve ever been bestowed and I’m forever in Awe of God’s love for us.
“Happy 21st birthday my Prince Charming. I love you with all my being🤍🤍💝💝.”
