Emmanuella Samuel, the Nigerian comedienne, has taken to social media to celebrate her seven years of making comedy skits.
In a post via her Instagram page on Wednesday, the 11-year-old reflected on her experience in the comic industry over the years.
The entertainer also appreciated God and Mark Angel for giving her the platform to showcase her potentials.
“God has been faithful … Today mark’s exactly 7 years of being on set.. Have been growing strong and stronger
Thank you @markangelcomedy @officialmarkangel. I love you all,” she wrote.
Emmanuella started comedy when she was five. It is understood that she was on a family holiday when she met Angel, her colleague who needed children for his comedy shoot, and enlisted those he knew for an audition.
After they couldn’t memorize their lines, Angel was said to have turned to Emmanuella.
Despite the eighteen-hour video shoot, a stunt he pulled to test the endurance of the kids, Emmanuella was said to have done well.
Following her selection, Angel convinced her parents to let her be a part of the Mark Angel Comedy team and got their approval.
She would later become well known after the comedy skit ‘This is Not My Real Face Oh’.
Since then, the entertainer has continued to thrill her audiences with hilarious jokes centered around the everyday life of the average Nigerian.
Emmanuella has also snagged numerous awards and recognition.
In March, she was named the ‘Favourite African Social Media Star’ category at the 2021 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
