Emmanuel Ikubese, actor and former Mr Nigeria, has been appointed United Nation’s millennium development goals ambassador.

UNMDG is a global network of formal and non-formal educators, as well as educational institutions and agencies that are committed to the realization of education for all people from childhood to adulthood.

The actor was honored with a customised vehicle plate number, an international identification card and an honorary plaque, for his contribution and overall development of humanity, based on selfless services, creativity and compassion towards human development.

Speaking at the event marking the appointment, Ikubese said it was an honour for him to be given such as great responsibility as a young man.

His new designation as a UN ambassador for global educators for all Initiatives confers on him many less-privilege, which he sums up in his own words as being committed to the ideals of the organization.

Ikubese is known for his acting role in MTV’s ‘Shuga’ and Mo Abudu’s ‘Fifty’.

He recently embarked on project titled ‘Respect A Woman’ (RAW) which got him accolades.
