Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) host, has spoken about his health struggle.
In a post via X on Tuesday, Ebuka revealed that he had “three health scares” in 2023 and even had to undergo surgery.
The media personality, however, did not disclose the ailments. He added that he is focused on “fixing” his body in 2024.
“Had 3 health scares in 2023 and ended the year in surgery… Fixing the body in 2024,” he wrote.

In January last year, Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, Ebuka’s wife, revealed that the BBNaija host was sick while presiding over the premiere of Big Brother Titans (BBTitans).
Ebuka participated in BBNaija’s debut season in 2006. He has been the host of the reality TV show since 2017.
He had previously disclosed that he did not plan to go into entertainment.
“I had no plans to go into the media or entertainment industry; I just wanted to win the money and disappear!” he had said.
He has also had several hosting gigs apart from BBNaija. In 2013, producers of Rubbin’ Minds, a Nigerian television talk show, announced that Obi-Uchendu would be the new host.
In the same year, Obi-Uchendu became one of the co-hosts of The Spot, a TV show on DSTV alongside Lamide Akintobi and Zainab Balogun.
In July 2016, he was announced as the host of Men’s Corner, Nigeria’s first all-male TV talk show.
