Yung Willis, the Nigerian record producer, has put out ‘Givin Dem’, his debut single.
The song was released on Friday following the launch of his record label Royals Music, a hub for talent discovery for artistes, music producers, sound engineers, songwriters, and entertainment professionals.
‘Givin Dem’ chronicles Willis’ successful run so far in the entertainment industry.
The song also sees Yung Willis team up with Timaya and the Abuja-based music group Kabusa Oriental Choir.
The single’s vintage-themed video, directed by the talented Unlimited LA, echoes the song’s creative concept.
The video opens with a drone shot of a sub-urban scenery that gives a rather emotive feel.
With sober and happy faces ushering viewers into the neighbourhood, the video gives a classic representation of the typical lifestyle of ghetto dwellers.
Falz, the rapper, Ajebo Hustlers, the Afrobeats singers, and the comedian Nasboi made cameo appearances in the visuals.
The song and video are coming ahead of the release of his forthcoming album ‘Life of The Party’ (LOTP).
As a producer, Yung Willis has worked with top Nigerian artistes including Falz, Timaya, Wizkid, Kizz Daniel, Davido, Niniola, Waje, BNXN, Zlatan, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, and Ice Prince, among others.
