Young Jonn, the producer-turned-musician, has come through with his highly anticipated song titled ‘Sooner’.
The body of work was released across streaming platforms on Friday.
The emotive track showcases Jonn’s vulnerability as he apologises to his love interest for past mistakes.
‘Sooner’ features Jonn’s soulful vocals, pleading for forgiveness and promising redemption. The lyrics highlight his regret and determination to regain trust.
“Sooner or later/ sugar or sugar/ I apologise for the things that I have done/ Baby how can I make up for it/ No be me na the devil/ Baby mi kini level/ Five six seven eight/ See you by eleven/ I am taking my time/ I no wan rush/ True love no dey pompous,” he sings.
In March 2022, the ‘Dada’ singer rebranded as an artiste and signed a deal with the record label Chocolate City. He followed up with the release of ‘Love Is Not Enough (Vol. 1)’, his extended play, in April of that same year.
‘Love Is Not Enough (Vol. 2)’ was released in October 2022. The 29-year-old also revealed he delved into music due to his previous desire to become an artiste.
In April, he released ‘Jiggy Forever’, his debut studio album.
