Abigail Okara has been evicted from the seventh season of Nigerian Idol.

The 28-year-old singer had delivered performances of songs like ‘Rain on Me’ by Lady Gaga, ‘Couple of Forevers’ by Chrisette Michele, and D’banj’s 2017 hit ‘Emergency’.

To make the top nine last weekend, she tried to replicate the vocal prowess of Whitney Houston on ‘Higher Lover’, in what would be her last performance on the hotly-contested music show.

Following Abigail’s elimination, David Operah sang Timi Dakolo’s ‘Great Nation’ while Itohan performed ‘I Look To you’, a Whitney Houston hit.

After his pulsating delivery last weekend, Zadok failed to disappoint in his rendition of Michael Bolton’s ‘Soul Provider’ while Banty opted for Whitney Houston’s ‘Greatest Love of All’.

Faith gave an electric rendition of ‘Charlie’ by Simi, while Debby survived the tide of Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’.

Shortly after surviving elimination, Progress stretched himself with the vocal trial of ‘I Need an Angel’ by Ruben Stuggard, while Jordan almost struck all cords right with ‘This is Me’, a soundtrack from ‘The Greatest Showman’.
