Timi Dakolo, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has put out ‘The Chorus Leader’, his highly anticipated album.

This musician took to his Instagram page to announce the release of the project on Friday.

“Dear yard, our album ‘the chorus leader’s is here. Please don’t keep this beautiful art to yourself. Loud it, share it to your family, friends and foes alike,” he wrote.

In the 17-track body of work, Dakolo enlists the vocal dexterity of Patoranking and the rapping prowess of Phyno and Falz

The tracks in the project include ‘Omo Ayo’, ‘Nothing Dey Spoil For God Hand’, ‘Happy Fellows’, ‘Men of the South’, ‘Hustle ’, ‘No Forget Home’ and ‘Life (Na So E Be)’.

Others are ‘This Woman’, ‘Hard Guy’, ‘Premium Enjoyment’, ‘Ke Ne Ke So’, ‘Iyawo Mi’, ‘Anything For You’, ‘One Day’, ‘Obim’, ‘The Vow’ and ‘Amen’.

Dakolo was born on January 20, 1981, in Accra, Ghana. His father is from Bayelsa while his mum is from Ghana.

The singer rose to fame after winning the inaugural season of Idols West Africa in 2007.

He has since etched his name on the minds of many Nigerians for his numerous projects.

In a recent interview, Dakolo urged the public not to classify him as a gospel artiste, adding that his style of music is diverse and he cannot be boxed into a particular genre.
